Date filmed: 28 February 2025 Time of recording: between 1430hrs to 1537hrs Today marks a new beginning for DT4 Hume as it finally opens for passengers service at 3pm on 28th February 2025. In this video, we will be taking through some joyrides to DT4 Hume alongside a mini trainspotting session at DT4 Hume. This is the first time that the DTL trains are stopping at DT4 Hume as it would always bypass the station at full speed prior to the opening. You would also be able to hear the new DT4 Hume announcements for the very first time also! Apart from that, we also explored around DT4 Hume MRT station as we step foot onto the DT4 Hume Platform itself! DT4 Hume MRT Station was initially built as a shell station when the rest of the Downtown Line Stage 2 opened back in 2015 due to the lack of justification for ridership back then. But almost a decade ago with enough ridership justification (such as the redevelopment of the Rail Corridor and more), DT4 Hume MRT station finally opens to the public, closing the gap between DT3 Hillview and DT5 Beauty World stations. Hume Residents can finally enjoy the convenience of having a MRT station at their doorstep instead of always needing to travel to either DT3 Hume or DT5 Beauty World stations to take the DTL trains (ultimately saving travel time for them). In terms of how chaotic the opening of DT4 Hume station was, I think I would let the video speak for itself.
