This video features reflections from students at Saint Vincent College, who spent an unforgettable spring break in Villa Hermosa, a borough of La Romana in the Dominican Republic. In partnership with World Servants and Keelen Dental, the teams brought professional care, student passion, and Christ-centered love into action. For the Boyer school students, this wasn’t just a volunteer opportunity; it was a living classroom where faith meets vocation. They assisted with procedures, toured both public and private hospitals, and supported dental screenings for over 500 children at Villa Hermosa School, many receiving dental care for the very first time. Yet the true heartbeat of this journey was found in moments of play, prayer, and presence. Whether visiting families in their homes or laughing with children at the school, the students formed bonds that transcended language and borders. The trip also included a joyful worship service led by Pastor Santiago, a celebration of unity, gratitude, and the extraordinary resilience of the Villa Hermosa community. This mission was made possible through the visionary leadership of Dr. Bill DiCuccio, a Saint Vincent alumnus whose deep connection to the Dominican Republic sparked a movement that continues to change lives. This experience wasn’t just a trip; it was a bridge between cultures, a window into resilience, and a reminder of what it means to serve with intention. What follows are reflections from the people who lived it, loved it, and came back changed.
