Driving From Calgary To Banff, Alberta 4K | The Scenic Trans-Canada Highway 1 To Banff National Park

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another video. Today, we will be driving from Calgary to Banff along the Trans-Canada Highway route 1, within the province of Alberta in Canada! The Trans-Canada Highway is a transcontinental federal–provincial highway system that spans all of the 10 provinces in Canada for a total of about 7,476 km, or 4,645 miles! In this video, we are driving a very scenic stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway by starting in downtown Calgary along the Deerfoot Trail, which is known as AB-2. We then join AB-1, which takes us along this highway through the Canadian Rocky Mountains and into Banff National Park! Banff National Park is the oldest national park in the entirety of Canada, with it being founded in 1885. The drive from Calgary takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes, and all of the Trans-Canada Highway from Calgary to Banff and continuing to Lake Louise is a fully developed, 4-lane freeway system.
