DR PAWAN SINGHAL MS (GOLD MEDALIST), DNB, MNAMS, FACS, FUICC COCHLEAR IMPLANT, SKULL BASE AND HEAD NECK SURGEON PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF ENT & HEAD NECK SURGERY SMS MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITALS Dr Pawan Singhal did Masters in ENT with Dr G. Narayanan gold medal. His work is centered on head neck and skull base surgery, using all surgical modalities i.e. open, endoscopic and microscopic and cochlear implant surgery. He has earned a lot of national and international fellowships including Fellow of American College of Surgeons(FACS), John Hopkins international leadership Award USA for tobacco control, AAO-HNS international visiting scholars award at Sloan Kettering New York USA, Sheerin Gajdhar and UICC fellowship at Tata memorial Hospital Mumbai by Foundation of Head and Neck Oncology, Indian Society of Otology fellowship at cause clinic France and Dr PP Karnik travel fellowship. Recently awarded for best research paper in international category by American College of Surgeons during annual congress of ACS at San Francisco. He has been awarded many a times for best research paper, winner of Quiz and best poster at many regional and national conferences. He was awarded by The Governor of Rajasthan in 2018 with the state level award on the Republic day. Recently he was awarded by state level Rajasthan Medical council award for his work in head and neck cancer and tobacco control for cancer prevention. He was also awarded with Indo-China international friendship award. For prevention and awareness regarding cancers in the society he is actively associated with VOTV (voice of tobacco victims), Indian asthma society, Sambandh Foundation, Tata trust, Rajasthan voluntary health association, ABVP and a lot many organizations. He is actively working in the field of deafness and not only routinely doing cochlear implants but also actively associated in awareness and prevention of hearing loss. The extensive media coverage in newspapers, TV channels, radio and magazines are a real reflection of his humane activities including adoption of education of underprivileged slum children. Dr Pawan has more than 50 national and international publications and has been a guest faculty and has delivered his scientific deliberations at innumerable national and international conferences.
