The director of the film Raj Kanwar says," This film is about the recent generation. This is the first film of my life that I have made with a young approach. It felt like the first movie I made after Deewana." The hero of the film Akshay Kumar says," It is a very mature love story. It has many twists and turns but the film progresses in a flow". Raj Kanwar says," It is inspired from a true story. I always go on vacations to Canada with my kids to visit my friend. I had an interaction with a couple who was a friend of my friend. When I asked the husband how he met his wife a weird story came to my ears. I saw a chemistry in them. After two days when I went to their house, I had an interaction with the wife." Humko Deewana Kar Gay is a 2006 Indian Hindi romantic drama film directed by Raj Kanwar, produced by Raj Kanwar, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar and starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor, and Manoj Joshi also star in the movie in supporting roles. The film is inspired by British romantic movie Notting Hill. The film is produced by the Indian music company, T-Series and Inderjit Films Combine. The movie's score and the soundtrack are composed by Anu Malik with lyrics by Sameer. Himesh Reshammiya rendered a special song for the film which became extremely popular. The film released on 14 April 2006. The music of the film released on 2 February 2006.
