Cold Reactor – Complete Track Reconstruction

#music #everythingeverything #cover #pop This is a reconstruction of the song "Cold Reactor" by Everything Everything [‪@e_e_‬ ]. These guys rock so hard. Anyways I spent all evening listening to Cold Reactor, pausing the track, then going into Logic and trying to recreate as many details from it as I could, and here's my final result. While I assume the vocal hook from their track was sampled, I used my own voice for it. I also did all the singing and backup singing. Everything else is either a synthesizer or an electronic drum that I arranged with midi. I made the cover using Apple Preview (Yeah, I know). I also built the main large synth with Vital (awesome plugin for being free). You may notice that the synth solo is missing at the end of the song, instead I incorporated another length of the first vocal hook, which is one of my favorite parts of the song. It didn't really feel right to just cover the song in its entirety without taking any creative liberties, plus a solo is pretty inherently a personal thing imo, so covering it note for note didn't make a lot of sense to me. No ai of any kind was used anywhere throughout this project, and it was a lot of fun to put together! I feel like I learned a lot about how I want to try and do arrangement in the future.
