The Tyco Electronics (TE Connectivity) AMP Superseal 1.0 dash connector on my 2009 Ducati 848 broke, and I decided to document the repair with this video. My research revealed that this connector is used to connect the dash to the main wiring harness on various Ducati motorcycles, including the 749, 848, 1098, 1098R, 1198 and the Desmosedici. The following Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles also use this same connector for the Engine Control Unit (ECU): GSXR1300 Hayabusa ECU (99'-07') YZF-R1 ECU (07'-08') YZF-R6 ECU (06'-14') ZX-10R ECU (04'-05') Other Known Applications: Motec ECU's: M84, M400, M600, M800, and M1 series M130, M142, M150 Motec Power Distribution Module's: PDM15, PDM30 Motec Expansion box E888 DTAfast ECU's: S60, S80, S100 Haltech ECU's Link ECU's As described in the video, I found this particular connector at Corsa Technic, a provider of products and services to the motorsports industry. Corsa Technic offers an extensive range of products for high performance vehicle electronics, from wiring to connectors, sensors, and tooling for harness maintenance. This might sound like a paid advertisement, but it's not; Sarah and Alex were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, and I will go back for any future motorcycle electrical needs!
