In a similar way to traditional hair transplants, an eyebrow transplant Turkey begins with the extraction of hair follicles from an area of healthy growth on the scalp. This can either be done one-by-one or via a ‘strip’ method, which will be determined by your surgeon ahead of the procedure. When utilising the FUE method, donor hairs can be extracted individually from an area of healthy growth on the scalp. At the start of the procedure, you will be given a local anaesthetic to prevent any discomfort throughout the procedure. Following this, a section of your hair will be shaven down to provide better access to the follicles, after which the surgeon will make small incisions to harvest the follicles from your scalp. These incisions are only 1 or 2 millimetres in size, so won’t require stitches and won’t result in scarring and in some cases, harvesting may be possible without shaving any of the head. Following the harvesting, the ‘follicular grafts’ will then be cut down to a suitable size for the patient’s brows.
