Tonight I bring you one of my all-time favorites from Rondo of Blood (or Dracula Chronicles X), Slash! This catchy number plays in the alternate path for Stage 4, Fortress of the Water Demon~ It also reappeared in various forms in some of the later games such as Judgment, Harmony of Despair, and Grimoire of Souls. For my version I took some inspiration from the Judgment version in terms of instrumentation, but I decided to dial down the rock elements a tad in favor of some more acoustic instruments. Fun fact, I was able to include all of my all-time top three favorite instruments in this track! Violin, accordion, and harpsichord! Anyway, I had a lot of fun arranging this song! I definitely wouldn't mind taking a shot at the rest of the RoB soundtrack as well. Konami, if you ever feel like making a new remake of the game, well... You know who to call for the soundtrack!
