This time I am in Hell in Norway. Just for short visit, hopefully. But before visiting Hell, we visit Stjørdal. Hell means good Luck in norwegian. Gods means Freight. (Godstog = freight train) ------------------------------ HELL STATION Hell Station is a railway station located in the village of Hell in Stjørdal municipality, Trøndelag county. It lies on both the Meråker Line and the Nordland Line, making it an important junction. The station was opened in 1881 to serve trains, passengers, and freight traffic. Its original station building was designed by architect Peter Andreas Blix. Hell Station is well known internationally because of its unusual name, which makes it a popular photo stop for visitors. STJØRDAL Stjørdal is a municipality and town in Trøndelag county, located about 35 kilometers east of Trondheim in Norway. It is known as an important transport hub, home to Trondheim Airport, Værnes, and a key railway junction. The town lies along the Stjørdalselva river, which is famous for salmon fishing. Stjørdal has a mix of agriculture, industry, and growing residential areas. Historic sites such as Værnes Church, dating back to the 12th century, highlight the area’s long history.
