How I Weathered My 1/8 C-3PO & Upgraded His Base

In this video, I want to share the method I used to weather the 1/8 scale Kotobukiya C-3PO. This is my first time using white glue to create a texture that looks like built-up dirt. Normally, I use wood pigments for weathering, they're cheap and give pretty solid results. For this project, I also tried to improve the figure’s base by applying white glue to the surface and sprinkling sand over it. I then finished it off with Tamiya's desert-colored acrylic paint. On top of that, I built C-3PO’s restraining bolt, which I think is a really cool little detail. Small touches like this add more depth to the figure, and I really enjoy doing them.
