Original text: I need your help. For over a month, I was very weak. I was having problems with not only my Crohn’s Disease, but new symptoms arose. I was having neurological problems for first time in my life. My tongue would get fat, my brain couldn't make out words I needed, I was even having a hard time walking at times. I was going downhill very fast. I took all the money I had, I took my rent and bill money and went on a two week (life-saving) medical hiatus in Colorado. I have taken an additional week off of social media to regroup, get reacclimated and try to catch up. Bills are still not paid. We might have soup for Christmas, yet, somehow miracles happen. Super special thanks to a dear friend who as my gift for Christmas, took me to get gifts for the boys. Now they at least have presents to open and this holiday won't be scarring. We have sacrificed much as a family. I have been an activist since 2003, educating friends and family on how well this plant has helped the symptoms of my disease. Once finding the oil, our family never looked back. Our journey of moving, educating, and helping others, seemed like our only option. I don't think one day of my life has gone by since finding my cure, that I have not thanked the Divine for its creation; that I have not spoken about it and its power; that I have not answered questions about its healing effects. My family has given more than many realize, in order to bring forth information that otherwise has been kept secret from the masses. Our efforts linked grassroots, "in the field" research with physicians who could link science to our claims. For years we have waited for science to catch up to us. And it has, after years of trying to reach out to major news networks to get the truth out, people are finally paying attention. So now, my youngest child who has been raised hearing this information, knowing he should not speak of it in our home state of Kansas, after moving back from Colorado, (because financially I could not make it), he corrected information being presented in a drug education class. He educated the adults around him, and because he knew too much, the police were called. I now face many years in prison, which made the news. However, screaming about how this natural, nontoxic, plant can cure disease and cancer does not make the news, but the state taking my child does? This pisses me off beyond belief. I have just saved my life a second time by ingesting as much natural medicine as I could while on my trip before coming home; but without a maintenance dose, and without adequate amounts, I have no idea how long I can go without it before my brain starts to shut down again. I'm home now, in Kansas. I hope to have my child for Christmas, yet that choice is out of my hands. I vow to stay and stand my ground until I get my child back. Until then, I need an income. Many don’t realize that upon receiving federal drug charges of any kind, a citizen is not eligible for any assistance programs, such as food stamps or medical coverage. I’m a massage therapist by trade, yet because of the rights stripped from me by the State of Kansas, the overtly negative local media, and the taboo surrounding my story, my business has severely plummeted. This is how the "drug war" affects families across the nation on a daily basis. For many years, I have helped hundreds of you and now as I try to prepare the perfect portfolio, I need your letters, personal references, and recommendations, even if anonymous. Have we met? Are you a physician who has found my knowledge useful in caring for your own patients? I have told many of you that I would stand up and speak out for you, and I have. With a portfolio full of references from around the world, I’m sure I can secure a foundation in this movement where I can travel, educate, lobby, and help nullify cases across the country, so that prohibition can end in its entirety!
