Let’s open Dungeon Synth Sunday on a joyous celebratory note, with a return to the medieval zeal of Borg and the sequel to last year’s Woodland album, ushering in the change of seasons and the start of spring. Divided into several sections, the album opens with a medieval droning accordian tone, planting the seeds for the rest of the album to bloom. It soon explodes into a whirl of celebratory folk and remains on song for its entirety, the main of which is given to a seven-song cycle titled ‘Flowering Time’ that unfurls towards the album’s ecstatic Wedding Dance climax.
