The Centre for Military, Security and Strategic Studies welcomed Dr. Alexander Hill and Dr. Terry Terriff to speak at an open lecture on Oct. 26, 2023 at the Military Museums. Their panel talk. 'The War in Ukraine: Lessons Observed' discussed relevant topics and generated excellent discussion with an engaged audience. Dr Alexander Hill is a professor in Military History and Senior Fellow of the Centre for Military, Security and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary. His research focuses on the military history of Russia and the Soviet Union. Dr. Terry Terriff is the Arthur J. Child Chair of American Security Policy in the Department of Political Science and a Senior Fellow of the Centre for Military, Security and Strategic Studies, at the University of Calgary. His research interests include change in military organizations, with a particular emphasis on the US military, and the changing character of warfare.
