Amongst all the valleys in Himachal, Banjaar valley is my most favourite. This valley is not just beautiful and untouched but also has magical places to go around. The valley hold stories from mythology and says that Pandavas passed through this valley during their exile. Panduropa is basically a paddy field, but unlike any other it is very special and has a magical effect added to it. The legends say the Pandavas planted the grass to grow over night for food and it never grew. Even after the Pandavas went away, the field remained as it is and with time it became more magical. The Panduropa acts like a spring ground, no matter how hard you jump on it, it bounces back like a spring. The experience is felt more and comes to reality when one runs on it and or feels it but going inside. In my 4 years of travel I have yet not come across such place. Though Panduropa might not have the best sight to see but it surely the best sight to be felt and known for its cause. After Panduropa we climbed up and also visited Raghopur fort. A fort made at the time of British government is all ruined and is only left with broken walls around it. But it doesn't stop it to show it's real beauty. One can have a 360 degree view from Raghopur fort of the whole Banjaar valley and can even spot other valleys like tirthan, Parvati and etc. Raghopur fort gives an absolute view of Dholadhar range of Himalayas which leaves an individual speechless. Though the view is best only with clear sky to spot the ranges of long distance like lambri top. If you ever visit Banjaar valley Panduropa and Raghopur fort are must visit places as they are not just magical because of their beauty but what this valley presents spiritually. Before the trek starts, at Jalori Pass you would come across a temple of Goddess kali, The legends and old people of the village believe she is the protector of the valley and doesn't let any body get lost or hurt in jungles of Banjaar Valley.
