The National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO) has officially launched its new, world-leading Accelerated Loading Facility (ALF) in Western Australia! This next-generation facility, a collaboration with the Western Australian government, is located at the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP) in Neerabup. The ALF can simulate decades of heavy vehicle traffic in just a few months, allowing researchers to quickly test and validate the durability of innovative and recycled pavement materials. This crucial technology will help Australia's transport network adapt to the future, supporting the shift to electric and heavier freight vehicles while enabling research into sustainable and climate-resilient infrastructure. Hear from NTRO CEO Michael Caltabiano, Peter Woronzow from the WA Department of Transport, and Richard Yeo as they share their insights on this significant milestone for advancing sustainable infrastructure.
