This is the Rondo movement from the "Andante and Rondo" by Capuzzi/Catelinet. The concerto was originally for double-bass, but with Catelinet's arrangement it became a very popular solo for tuba or euphonium. It's on many state solo contest lists and audition lists, but somehow in my decades of performing solos I have never programmed it. This recital gave me the chance. Notes: 1. In the minor section I tried something a little different by slowing down the tempo. (I think it didn't need to be quite that much slower, but I like a little change there.) The tonality, in the 16th notes especially, get a little lost, even is performances on double-bass. I prefer to make them clearer. 2. The little flourish at the end is simple a 16th-note arpeggio built on the Eb chord. I didn't think the Catelinet arrangement's 16th-note triplets sounded quite right for Capuzzi.
