In 1753, a Swedish botanist named Carl Linnaeus first discovered and labelled cannabis, which he then called Cannabis #Sativa. 30 years later, a French biologist named Jean-Baptiste Lamarck observed a different cannabis plant that was shorter, darker and had wider leaves, which Larmarck named Cannabis #Indica. and thus the two species were discovered. Sativa is often considered to be energetic, uplifting and cerebral. Indica, on the other hand, is often considered to be heavier, inducing more of a couch-lock or sedative effect. However, experts aren’t as sold on the distinction. In fact in a 2015 study, using 81 plants which were labelled either indica or sativa, no meaningful genetic differences were found. Instead, Experts suggest looking at #THC and #CBD levels in the plant, as well as which terpenes are present – rather than asking if it’s an indica or sativa. ------------------------------- WEBSITE: https://www.thegreenfund.com FACEBOOK: / thegreenfund TWITTER: / thegreenfund1 INSTAGRAM: / thegreenfund ------------------------ YouTube Disclaimer The Green Fund Pty Ltd (ACN 623 690 362) (“The Green Fund”) is a corporate Authorised Representative (number 1277069) of Amplus Global Pty Ltd (ACN 162 631 325), the holder of Australian Financial Services Licence number 505929.
