We took a little pause from the kitchen renovation in our old house restoration project in Spain (although there's an update at the end), and instead we focussed our attention on the Summer vegetable garden up at the off grid homestead in the mountains. We planted out a load of new vegetable starts in our summer vegetable garden, ready to fill our plates with (hopefully) lots of yummy veggies in a few months. We're learning different techniques for gardening in Spain and what to grow, when. We're also so happy to see the olive trees full of flowers, which will hopefully bring us our first olive harvest, since we bought the land 5 years ago. But the last few years have not been kind to us, so we're hoping for the best. We've been restoring an ancient olive grove in Spain with regenerative agriculture practices for the last 5 years, and really hope we might finally see the fruits of our labour this year at the homestead. We hope you enjoy an update from the homestead in the mountains this week, as we know a lot of our videos have been quite reno-heavy recently. But we're learning that that's life. It sways to and fro between different situations and themes, and if you just decide to accept it and go with the flow it's a lot less stressful.
