Sift the Matcha: Sift the matcha powder into a mug or small bowl. This prevents clumps and ensures a smooth texture. 2. Create the Paste: Add the hot water to the matcha powder. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a small regular whisk until a smooth, frothy paste forms with no lumps. 3. Warm the Milk: Gently heat your milk in a saucepan or microwave until warm, but not boiling. 4.
