A New Life (Delia Hannah) - Jekyll & Hyde Australian Cast Album 1997

In July 1997, at the release event of the Jekyll & Hyde Original Broadway Cast Album, several international productions were announced, one of the first being an Australian production to take place at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne. This production was set to open October 25th, 1997, produced by Stewart & Patricia Macpherson. The production was cast and in rehearsal before it was cancelled due to financial issues. In February 1998 auditions took place for a new Australian production produced by Kevin Jacobson at the Capital Theatre in Sydney that November, however this production never made it past this stage. Before the 1997 production folded, however, a promotional highlight album of the show was recorded and released, featuring the voices of Simon Burke as Jekyll & Hyde, Delia Hannah as Lucy, and Terri Crouch as Emma. Notably included is I Need to Know, which was cut from the Broadway production but seemingly was going to be included in the planned staging. Enjoy!
