When I was a kid there was plenty of ways to earn money especially in the summertime. Where I lived in Sandy, Oregon population 990 the only place to get toy cars was the Rexall Drugs or Western Auto Hardware store. Each one had maybe 3 Hot Wheels in stock. I’ve just recently met a guy who grew up in the Chicago area with 3 large toy stores within bicycling distance from his home. Imagine working, making money and then toodeling on down to the hobby store to choose from a wide variety of Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Corgi, Johnny Lightning, Aurora Slot Cars, Huskys and more!
