New FLOATING WATERPROOF REMOTE CONTROL for eFoils, E-surfboards, eSUP's: http://www.diy-electric-hydrofoil.com... **PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW** It has been a while since our last update and video so we wanted to quickly touch base and share where we are for build and design because things are changing rapidly and all for the better, other than the Information OVERLOAD as we see and hear of so many different ways to design parts of e foils from fellow builders. Many of us are experiencing Analysis Paralysis…….AH! But it's great to have options! Today, we tested the thrust on 3 different ducted props and getting ready for a re-design and new direct drive build using the 60mm jet, and an 80mm mini ducted prop. For over a while now we have been developing software that allows us to input our motor specs, desired speed, thrust etc… and the software tells us almost any parameter we want to know. Prop size, pitch, blade shape, RPM, thrust, watts, prop efficiency etc… We are just now cross-referencing our system with another software system that was created back in 2001 and the results are very similar to ours which is fantastic. both calculators use very different approaches to get to the conclusions but have similar results. Nice to have confirmation we are on the right path for prop design. During the next couple weeks, we intend to have our jet drive system fully designed and 3D printed for you to see. Also, our new 80mm direct drive system is going to be really sleek with only ONE 3D printed part required, the rest is near plug-n-play, which has been our goal with this project from day one. We are currently waiting on some new parts for our floating waterproof controller which may be one of the first parts of the build completed if all goes as planned. We continue to learn new ways to do things and can’t wait to show you our designs and builds as we push forward with designing a powerful, safe, and affordable Efoil for you to build.
