In this episode, we get a little lost in Catania as we attempt to tell the difference between universities and monasteries! We find Sicily's largest church, get lost in the hallways of Europes 2nd largest monastery, and tour a 13th-century royal castle in Catania, Italy. Catania is the second-largest Sicilian city after Palermo. It was destroyed to the ground seven times by volcanic eruptions and earthquakes from Mount Etna. The most recent catastrophic events in 1169 and 1693 forced the inhabitants to rebuild the city from scratch.
