Improved Inbetweening | Cascadeur 2025.2 Feature Highlights

New major version 2025.2 is available for download! Improved Inbetweening and New Inbetweening styles The tool now checks for the character's velocity and animation tangents between the keyframes when it's generating the motion. The generated Inbetweening animations now flow into each other better! Additionally, 9 new motion styles are available for Inbetweening - Walk, Run, Crawl, Jump, Fall, Acrobatic, Combat and Any. After setting up your key poses, you can select an additional style as a "recommendation" for the Inbetweening tool. Note that the Inbetweening tool still mostly uses the key poses on the timeline, so you'll need to make enough key poses for it to "realise" what kind of motion you need. Automatic Fulcrum detection We've developed a new fulcrum detection algorithm that should more reliably detect the fulcrum points in your animation. You can still change and use the old Fulcrum state settings, if you must. -Trajectory Tangents (Beta) A beta version of Trajectory tangents! In the Trajectory Edit mode, you can now move the tangent handles to edit the trajectory spacing. Please note that not all objects can use this feature by default. Updated Point Constraint UX The old numbers and bools have now been updated to enumerators! Now, the Point Constraint uses a "drop down menu", where you can select an object which the constraint is active for. If you have "old" rigs that you want to test the new features on, please regenerate (enter and exit the Rig mode) your existing character rigs.
