How To Acclimate (Hardening Off) Indoor Plants To Sun

In this video, we discuss acclimating indoor plants to outdoor sunshine and wind. This process is commonly referred to as "hardening off." Bringing plants raised indoors with artificial light directly into full sun will damage or outright kill your plants by burning the foliage. This process will help you slowly expose your fragile plants to sunshine and prevent burn from UV radiation. In this video, we specifically focus on fig cuttings raised indoors over the winter, but these principles can be applied to any kind of plant - tomatoes, peppers, squash, leafy greens, fruit tree starts, etc. - any plant you start indoors, or overwinter indoors, can follow these steps.
