Marple Locks a Crusader church and a micro brewery, historic Winkburn.

This week the dart took us to Historic Winkburn, a charming little hamlet nestled in the Nottinghamshire countryside with an impressive looking stately home and an amazing chapel dating back to the crusades. I wasn't expecting much from a hamlet with less then 40 houses but I was more then pleasantly surprised and think it truly is a stunning little find. Also another bonus to this place is a micro brewery producing a lovely selection of ales and beers where the owner Andy gave me a very informative tour. I took my daughters along this time and even they loved the place so it's a big thumbs up all round. On the way there I even managed a quick stop off at the very impressive Marple locks. All in all it was a great day out and Winkburn is definitely worth a visit if you are passing. Thanks for watching and I hope you all enjoy.
