Seeding your lawn this spring? Don’t make the same mistakes I did! In this video, I’m breaking down the top 3 things that can totally mess up your results and what to do instead. Mistake #1: Seeding Too Early (or Too Late) When it comes to seeding grass in spring, timing is everything. Too early and your seed sits in cold soil for weeks. Too late and summer heat wipes out your baby grass before it even gets going. Best bet? Wait until soil temps hit 60°F—grab a cheap meat thermometer and check it yourself. This is one of the most overlooked parts of spring seeding. Trust me, I learned the hard way. Mistake #2: Using the Wrong Seed Not all grass seed can handle the rollercoaster weather of spring. I’ve tried it all—Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, you name it. The only one that consistently held up through summer was tall fescue. Right now I’m using a blend called Artimuss. It’s coated with a plant growth stimulant (PGS) that helps it germinate quicker and grow stronger roots. That means less waiting, better survival in heat, and no need for soaking or pre-germinating. Perfect for a DIY lawn renovation. Mistake #3: Bad Watering Habits When you’re growing grass from seed, water is everything. If it dries out during germination even once, it could die off. I’ve made that mistake and it cost me a full season to recover. In the video, Bruce (he’s been in the grass game for 40+ years) shares the watering routine he uses to get reliable results every time. ➡️ Buy your seed here: https://heritageppg.com/products/arti... #HeritagePartner @heritageppg @heritageslg Timestamps: Intro 00:00 Mistake#1 00:10 Mistake #2 02:12 Mistake #3 05:44 🔔 Subscribe here: / @princesscutlawncare 📸 Add me on Instagram: / princesscutlawn 🔴 Watch Our Favorite Videos Here: • OUR FAVORITE VIDEOS For sponsorship, product reviews and collaboration, email: princesscutlawn@gmail.com Thank you for watching!
