I’m continuing my streak of bad timing with this release because life has unfolded in such a way that I never would have guessed it would haha.. Excuses aside, it’s out and available, my friends. The title of the song is “Oral Expression”. I came up with the title BEFORE writing the song. After coming up with the title, I typically conceptualize. During the process of coming up with the concept, my intent was to use those Sunday Night Slow Jam call-ins as a reference. However, as the song developed, I kept getting further away from my key reference, and not without trying to keep it on track. Long story short, the song became what you hear, but I managed to keep the title intact. I could have easily given it something different, something even more appropriate for the song, but I like the thought of keeping it as what I had come up with in the first place haha.. With all the uncertainty right now, it’s hard to gauge what I should do next musically. Just when I became sure of what I needed to do, the world happened to fall under a pandemic, flipping my plans on it’s face. So, back to square one. A square of which I am very much familiar with at this point. I’ll continue to bring you music, as usual. I’ll also be working on a few other things related to which, but that announcement’s coming with our next link. Until then, I hope you all stay safe throughout all that’s going on.
