Filming Date: 6/6/2025 Filmed With: Sony Handycam HDR CX-280 On Friday 6th June 2025, I went down south to the Republic of Ireland by myself for the first time, visiting Dundalk Clarke, Drogheda MacBride, Laytown and Gormanston stations. In this video you will see Enterprise services that are operated wiTh Irish Rail, Translink N.I. Railways and Enterprise trains, as well as local Irish Rail services. Firstly Irish Rail 29000 Class D.M.U.s 29021 & 29012 are seen arriving into Dundalk Clarke station platform 2 with the 12:30 ex-Connolly service. They are then seen making a noisy departure on the 12:40 service to Grand Canal Dock. Then Irish Rail 22000 Class D.M.U. 22036 is seen arriving and departing platform 2 with the 12:50 departure of the 11:50 'Enterprise' service from Connolly to Belfast Grand Central. Translink N.I. Railways 3000 Class D.M.U.s 3001 & 3003 are then seen arriving into platform 1 with the 13:12 arrival of the 12:00 'Enterprise' service from Belfast Grand Central to Connolly. After riding this train to Drogheda MacBride station, 3001 & 3003 are seen departing platform 1 with the 13:37 depature of the 12:00 'Enterprise' service from Belfast Grand Central to Connolly. Then, 22056 is seen departing platform 3 with the 13:43 service to Connolly. After travelling to Laytown station, my train (which was formed of 29026 & 29001) is seen departing platform 1 with the 14:09 departure of the 14:03 service from Drogheda MacBride to Grand Canal Dock. Then 29002 & 29006 are seen arriving & departing platform 2 with the 14:18 departure of the 13:19 service from Grand Canal Dock to Drogheda MacBride. 22038 is then seen passing platform 2 with the 13:50 'Enterprise' service from Connolly to Belfast Grand Central. Then an Enterprise train (9003 + 231 'River Maigue') is seen blasting through platform 1 with the 13:00 service from Belfast Grand Central to Connolly. After I travelled to Gormanston station, my train is seen departing platform 1, formed of 29006 & 29002. This was the 14:54 departure of the 14:43 service from Drogheda MacBride to Grand Canal Dock. Then 22050 passed platform 1, but I have no clue what this movement was. Back at Drogheda MacBride station, 29012 & 29021 are seen departing platform 2 with the 15:43 service to Grand Canal Dock. Then 29005 is seen departing platform 3 with the 15:55 service to Connolly. Finally I returned to Dundalk Clarke station, where I filmed my Enterprise train (231 'River Maigue' + 9003) departing platform 2 with the 16:50 departure of the 15:50 service from Connolly to Belfast Grand Central. Overall, this was a fantastic day and I got many great shots during my time down south. The reason I had gone down was to see the Emerald Pullman railtour in Dundalk, which will be the next video I upload so stay tuned.
