Time for another Sonicware Liven XFM demo. This demo is an attempt to showcase the bass and strings side of the XFM. The bass used is the Wobble Bass preset and the stings is a mixture of several different patches processed through the X-LFO engine which morphs between them in real-time. FM morphing on the XFM is achieved by the the X-LAB, XFORM and X-LFO modes being able to see two memory locations for presets simultaneously and interpolating the settings in those memory locations to create a new sound. All of those modes have the ability to lock pitch and envelopes setting of those sounds in such a way that they stay sounding pitched to the ear. Alternatively that setting can be turned off to create much more atonal and abstract sounds, that's not something I've shown in the videos yet so I must put that onto the to do list. Once again this video was built from the included presets (either the ones that I've made or other sound designers) without me having to build new presets and only a tiny bit of filtering was used to shape one of the string sounds, everything else is pure FM Oh yes, my fingers are still healing, hence the daft looking blue strips on my fingers. #ChrisLody #Sonicware #LivenXFM
