Art, Nature and Sustainability During this event, Hugh Atkinson will look at the world of nature and sustainability through the eyes of visual artists. Van Gogh got it right when he argued that artists understand nature and love it and teach us to see it. Supporting nature and promoting a more sustainable world are complex challenges which mere words cannot totally capture in the way that art can. The session will start with a presentation of 22 works of art beginning with El Greco and ending with Anish Kapoor’s Sky Mirror. The aim is to make us think about our understanding of how we see nature but it is also about fun and enjoyment. This event was recorded on 30th September.
