I must admit I always had a flair for Japanese devices. JMT Synths are some of the most cool and finest noise gears on Earth, and are an important part my noise-arsenal! This new RNB-1 is a beast, and personally I think it features a total new approach to noise synthesis when compared to the other offerings by JMT, holding a voice of it's own. It's a very textural synth capable of some very cool rhythmical pulsed noises, harsh-noise walls, ultra-thick low-frequency drones, and more! The controls and oscillators are very interactive and the fuzz stage before the output it's a very effective shaping tool. There are a lot of sweet spots to discover, while tweaking the knobs! Once again what to say? Dear Tetsuji, thank you sooo much for making some of the finest noise/drones synth on the planet! Gear used: JMT RNB-1 Zoom MS70CDR Multistomp (delay & reverb) More infos here: https://www.jmtsynth.com VCO-1, VCO-2, and SUB OSCILLATOR are designed to produce a variety of sounds through complex intersections of waveform conversion and amplification circuits for each of the three. VCO-1 uses the analog synth's VCA to mix with VCO-2 in a ring modulator-like manner, and SUB can be switched by the A.B switch to apply to VCO-1 and VCO-2. OCT, TONE is a design circuit that effectively applies octave fuzz to these three oscillators, and FUZZ FREQ, connected after it, is a distortion circuit that utilizes four ICs to track the oscillating sound. The OCT TONE FUZZ and FUZZ FREQ knobs are not simply a knob that amplifies distortion when turned. The way it works depends on the sound created by the oscillator section. #jmtsynth #noisemusic #synthesizer
