Kakeru changed the game of Street Fighter. He is now retiring due to health issues citing "neural dysfunction", to focus on his recovery and health. Seeing him go from the surprise break-out Ryu in end-game SFV, to the absolute BEST JP and arguably best SF6 player on the planet... to be the "Perfect Parry Prince" who narrowly missed qualifying for CC10 to winning the million the next year... it's been an incredible journey to follow. Being a Kakeru fanboy wasn't always easy, but he consistently inspired the imaginations of fans and players around the world for what was truly possible in the world of Street Fighter if you continued to believe and work hard.
