To start the year off with a bang, Seiko released four new Alpinist models which now fall into the Prospex line, SPB117, SPB119, SPB121, and SPB123. The prominent upgrade on the new Alpinist models is certainly the 6R35 movement that was initially introduced at Baselworld 2019. Besides the 20 additional hours of power reserve storage, hand winding, 28,800 bph beat rate, re-introducing the date magnifier 'cyclops', which was added back on to the sapphire glass, along with an anti-reflective coating, you’ll find the new Prospex 'X' emblem at the 6 o’clock which replaced the 'Diashock 23 jewels'.
