On average, Scottsdale treats approximately 20 million gallons of wastewater every day. Where does the treated water go? Scottsdale's sewer system has over 1400 miles of sewer lines. The two biggest culprits in our sewer system are tree roots and grease. What can you do to avoid costly repairs? Crews regularly clean about a third of our sewer lines each year and inspect the lines with a special camera.
