This workgroup featured presentations by presentations by Mike Thompson, PhD, MVC Co-Director and Haley Stolp, MPH, Health Scientist at Million Hearts, a national initiative that focuses on implementing evidence-based priorities and targets that can improve cardiovascular health for all. Mike Thompson, PhD, is a health services researcher and Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Michigan Medicine. He currently serves as the Co-Director of the Michigan Value Collaborative. He also co-leads the Michigan Cardiac Rehab Network, which is a consortium of quality collaboratives and cardiac rehab stakeholders seeking to equitably increase cardiac rehab participation in Michigan. Haley Stolp, MPH is a Health Scientist in the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ms. Stolp provides policy and partnership support for Million Hearts®. She manages the cardiac rehabilitation portfolio for the initiative and supports other efforts to engage with the health care system to equitably prevent premature death or disability attributed to cardiovascular disease.
