If you're using the legendary Helios 44-2 lens, you might be wondering: Should you get a Speed Booster or a standard mount adapter? In this video, I compare both options to see which one delivers the best image quality, sharpness, and bokeh. The Speed Booster allows more light to hit the sensor and reduces the crop factor, creating a wider field of view and a more cinematic look. However, it also introduces additional glass elements, which may affect sharpness and contrast. On the other hand, the standard adapter keeps the original optical characteristics of the lens, providing a pure and unaltered image. To make this test as fair as possible, I shot all footage from a tripod at the same distance using my Canon EOS M. The video is structured as follows: First, you’ll see footage with the Speed Booster Then, footage with the Standard Adapter Finally, a side-by-side comparison to see the differences clearly At the end of the video, I’ll share my final thoughts on which adapter works best for different needs. 📌 Gear Used: Canon EOS M Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 Speed Booster & Standard EF-M Adapter ND Filter ⚡ Which adapter do you prefer?
