Adám Brudzewsky This presentation looks at new features in Dyalog v20.0: array notation and programmatic variable assignment. Adám starts by showing how the new array notation makes it easier to write and read arrays. He uses it to build a small utility function that’s simpler and cleaner than could be written pre-v20.0. Next, he moves on to programmatic assignment — creating variable names in code and giving them values on the fly — useful for building flexible tools. He also touches upon retrieving values by name. To show how these features can work together, he puts together a simple DSL (domain-specific language) for defining and querying tabular data.
