day #6 In this video we explored #Tawang for the first time. First we went to the largest and the oldest monestry of #India which was so beautiful it was like entering a #budhist town then we went to the birth place of 6th Dalai lama (Urgelling Gompa) the place is really old and rich in history. Tawang war memorial had names of the soldiers who fought to protect our country in the 1962 war right opposite to that there was a museum dedicated to Major Bob Khathing. Major Khathing's contributions to our nation particularly in strengthening india's northeastern frontier continues to inspire generations. At the end we went to see the Giant Buddha statue which stands at 40ft and is made of bronze. We did this whole trip with Nayara Holidays.
