After my last video testing the Elgato HD60 S to ~just okay effect~ I upgraded to the HD60 S+ and have found it to be the plug-and-play solution I was hoping for. At this point I can easily recommend the M1 Mac as an entry-level streaming device for console streamers using OBS. The price vs power ratio is off the charts, and I've had a hard time finding things the M1 Mac Mini CAN'T do at this point. It's a beast, for real. Believe the hype. I've heard the Elgato CamLink also works pretty well with the M1 Mac lineup, but I can't confirm it.
