Plastek Academy Webinar (aired March 18, 2021.) Title: Reducing Variation Through the Use of Scientific Molding, Presented by RJG inc. Summary: This presentation will help you understand how a Scientific approach can minimize everchanging material viscosities in the injection molding process and, ultimately, in your molded parts. We will take a closer look at why material variation occurs and discuss methods on how we can build a more stable process to reduce the effects it has on your quality on a shot-to-shot basis. • Review where material variation comes from • Understand how a Scientific approach can reduce cycle time and improve part quality • Review next steps Guest Speaker : Paul Mandeville, Trainer / Consultant at RJG Paul began his career in 1993 as a Machine Operator and quickly worked his way up to Production Manager, Process Engineer, then Senior Process Engineering Manager. He has experience leading processing staff in medical process development, conducting advanced processing training, creating scientific workbooks, implementing new systems and procedures, and more.
