Heres how you do that. OK once you've activated your authorize.net account log in to generate Come over to the account tab then to the API credentials and keys link and click and once you're on this screen here you'll simply click on the new transaction key radio button and click submit That will generate a “verify your identity” pin which goes to the email on file (as shown here) here and just click on request pin That's gonna send a pin number to your email which you're gonna grab and then plug into this box, to verify your identity. After you've entered the pin number just click on the “verify pin” button, and the “continue” button… And that’s it. The next screen is the information you're looking for! The your API log in ID and your current transaction key gd So you have an option to copy to the clipboard or otherwise send it to your programmer or web developer to complete the integration. Keep in mind this is secret information so it's labeled appropriately this is not information that you just want to email through normal text so I recommend putting it in a text file or a word document or something that you know is not just plain text email in order to keep the keys you just generated secure. You can even take a screenshot of it and send it over to your programmer. So that’s it. It’s pretty simple and straightforward. One final note, is that you CAN add additional Transaction Keys on your single authorize.net account. So if, for example, you have a CRM that you’re using to collect payments and you sell through your website and each of those softwares require a payment gateway integration, you can set up separate keys so if you ever needed to disconnect one, but not the other, you could do so by just deleting the 1 key inside of your authorize.net account.
