I heard a saying somewhere: if you want to be with someone, make sure you are comfortable with yourself first. But I remember thinking to myself, “does that always have to be true?” I remember I sought out someone else because I didn’t want to be alone. It made me think - “did I really love them because I truly loved them, or because they made me feel held?” But then I thought, “does it matter, especially if I loved them back deeply and made efforts to show it?” It made me realize that maybe, those old sayings don’t have to be correct all the time. Life is what we make of it, so we should have a bit more confidence whenever we make a choice - including giving our heart to someone. Anyway, hello!
