The Gascoyne River Middle Branch Rest Area, located on the Great Northern Highway near Kumarina, WA, is a simple but scenic roadside stop perfect for a break or overnight stay. Set beside the Gascoyne River, it offers spacious gravel parking with drive-through access for caravans and big rigs, along with bins and a few shelters. There’s limited shade, no power, and water from the river should be treated before drinking.
