Arnav is 34 months old. He is seeking 40hours a month of ABA services from CSAAC in Montgomery County, Maryland. Until now its been 5 and half months of ABA. This is a typical clinic session where all the therapists gather twice a month along with the main doctor in charge of the program. You can see Dr (in light blue shirt) is working with Arnav. She wants to introduce long sounds of vowels this time. He is able to say a vowel generally. 1) She would call him to the table. 2) He is talking nonfunctional words which is keeping him distracted. 3) She is trying to get his attention by using stalker rings. 4) She is trying to make long sounds of vowels with him and he just picked it but is distracted too. He at least made a positive attempt, which is not bad. He has had a long session today so his attention span is reducing. She wants him to go play after this activity but he is distracted so. 5) Again she is trying to get his focus back by doing a puzzle. 6) Once the activity is done she is trying to make him uncomfortable to sit there by moving his chair. She wants him to walk away from her. To understand that he is all done.
