Today I plan on trying to do another UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) bootloader port known as EDK2 to a slightly different phone called the "Motorola Moto G8 Power." This phone has the same specs as my G Stylus that is not in working condition anymore (sadly.) The only big difference that I have noticed in the G8 Power is that is has 64GB of internal storage rather than the G Stylus, which has 128GB. My first attempt at the port was a complete failure, this time might be the same, but I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.10 so I might be able to do it this time. I will be referencing a few documents from the Renegade-Project group on GitHub. So I give a huge thank to them for taking their time to write some guides and providing help to those who would like to port. Phone specs: CPU: Snapdragon 665 GPU: Adreno 610 RAM amount: 4GB Display resolution: 1080x2300 Operating System: Android 10 (stock) This will be difficult due to the fact that this phone is Android 10 from the factory, and was made with Secure Boot, and FBE (File-Based Encryption). Now sit back, and enjoy my rage of trying to figure out what to do in order to get this to work.
