Lvl 18 Sorc Solo vs Cursed Dragon Hard Mode Doing a bid of experimentation with the Caged Fury at low levels. I never hear much talk about it since most people want to get their hands on the BBI Archstaffs. Fully upgraded, the Caged Fury seems to be on par with the Sanguine Stalk. Its really hard to tell where it lies. It is more than capable of beating every enemy in the game including Daimon's second form. To get it fully upgraded only requires that you beat the Dark Bishop on the first run through BBI. This is long before you get a chance of seeing a unpurified Lvl 3 weapon. On the downside, the stamina use is huge. It takes more stamina to cast spells. The staff also loses its charge when you take damage and stamina is lost in proportion to how much it is charged. Its not only damage but really anything can take the charge down and stamina loss. The wind from the dragon, pawns hitting explosive barrels, harpies singing, etc. Lots of Liquid Vim and Stamina consumables are needed to use the staff. Most of the items shown here can found or purchased once you get to Gran Soren. The staff is expensive at 385K, but the items in the inventory can be sold to purchase it. It also requires an additional 90K to upgrade it which can be a bit much early in the game even on hard mode. As far as augments and spells. Starting as Mage, you should have no problem getting the Equanimity Augment and High Ingle at Mage Rank 3. Emphasis is a Rank 2 Augment for Sorcerer.
