Assessment plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ learning experiences. Integrating assessment of, for and as learning can provide a balance that creates an engaging and effective learning environment that promotes self-regulated learning. This balanced approach that includes formative feedback, reflective practice, and dynamic assessment enhances learning outcomes and prepares students for the complexities of an evolving professional and technological landscape [1,2]. Here, an introduction to the module design, which included a formative peer-review exercise facilitated via a learning tool (Peer Scholar), will be communicated. Evaluation results from interviews and focus groups involving staff and students, showcasing views on the peer review/peer assessment activity, as well as the experience of the digital tool, will also be presented.
