More Info and Purchase: https://amzn.to/2wxpjQg Blog: http://bit.ly/2oF3QkV I have used several similar GPS trackers in the past but this new one from LESHP has some features the others lack and is certainly the most user-friendly. Priced on Amazon at £79.99 this is not the cheapest but it does have a finished quality the lesser rivals lack. In the windowed display box along with the tracker are the charging stand, USB to micro-USB cable, screw hole grommet set, screwdriver, Quick Start Guide and a User Guide. The two printed guides are large, easy to read and in colour. The 23-page User Guide is too large but I include a scan of the Quick Start Guide in my unboxing video. No SIM card is included as unlike with some rivals this device will work with any 2G SIM card network. This device that uses a GPS receiver to locate the tracker and a 2G micro SIM card to allow you to communicate with the tracker to send and receive data using SMS messages. The tracker also has a microphone and speaker and can be used as an emergency phone. The teardrop-shaped IPX5 waterproof device weighs in at 299g and is 6.2x4.5x1.3 cm in size. On the front is a large SOS button - press and hold to transmit your location to up the three phone numbers in an emergency - and microphone. On the rear are the charging terminals and speaker grill. On one side are a grommet protected micro-USB charging port, the status LED and the power button. The charging dock is made of gloss off-white plastic and has a micro-USB power in port on the rear and a single red LED on the front - flashes during charging, solid when charged. Use the supplied mini screwdriver to remove the three screws allowing the top of the device to be opened revealing the micro SIM card port. Insert a 2G capable card - some networks such as 3 in the UK are 3/4G only. Turn the device on by pressing and holding the power button. Turn it off by pressing and holding the power and SOS buttons. The unit is configured and set up by SMS messages sent to it using codes which far more user-friendly and intuitive than those on some rivals I have tried. To set the authorised number to which is the main number the unit will respond to, text the code A1 then a comma then the number of the authorised phone. For example A1,01254515515. Additional number B1 and C1 can be set up the same way. The device will text back a confirmation message in each case. The code Z0 will tell the device to respond only from these authorised number. The code Z1 will allow responding to commands from any number. Using the same code based system you can set the time and date, name the tracker, set and change a password, beep and ringtone sound controls, Geofence parameters, tracker speed alert On/Off, movement alert On/Off, audio monitoring On/Off, no motion alert On/off, LED's On/Off, define the side button to call a preset phone number, fall down alert, numbers to use for outgoing voice calls from the tracker, check status, reboot device. You can also set or disable AGPS, this allows the tracker to use cell tower location information to startup and satellite acquisition speeds. Several power saving operational modes can be set the same way. The tracker can be used to find the location of anything it is attached to, vehicles, pets, and can even be used to help with elderly or confused persons and has an optional fall-down alert for this to alert should the tracker user fall down or collapse. When prompted for the location or should an internal sensor trigger an alert the tracker will text the Time, Latitude and longitude, current speed, Altitude, and a clickable link to Google Maps. It can also be set to include the written street location. It will automatically send low battery alerts. One unique feature about this device is that it supports simple voice calls. For example, if an automated alert is received from the tracker, you can then call the tracker from any nor all of the authorised numbers which the tracker will then automatically answer to allow a conversation to take place. A person with the tracker can make a call to number A2 by pressing and holding the power button and end the call by pressing the SOS button. The tracker can also be monitored in real time using the Smart-Locator website (https://smart-locator.com) and with the iOs or Android Smart Locator app. This review is already far too long and I have only outlined just some of what this device can do. Let me summarise by saying this is a user-friendly and easy to GPS tracker with a host of features available at a very decent price.
